The band starts on the pool deck. Your balcony’s in the front row — or a quiet walk up the beach, if that’s more your speed.
Ocean Annie’s Resorts runs two oceanfront buildings on Shore Drive, and they are not the same holiday. Most of the disappointed reviews in this market come from someone booking the lively building when they wanted the quiet one. So here’s the honest version, before you book, rather than a shrug at check-in.
The short answer
Book Sands Ocean Club if you came for the atmosphere. Ocean Annie’s Beach Bar is on the pool deck. The music is outside. You will hear it.
Book Sands Beach Club if you came for the beach and want the bar to be a decision, not a default. It’s a walk up the same sand, whenever you feel like it.
Sands Ocean Club — where the party lives
This is our flagship building, and it’s the one Ocean Annie’s Beach Bar is famous for. The bar sits on the oceanfront pool deck; live music plays outside; the beach is on the other side of it.
- Condos: one, two and three bedrooms. We manage 375 units here.
- Water: indoor and outdoor pools, a lazy river and hot tubs, on a spacious beachfront deck.
- On site to eat and drink: Windows for the daily breakfast buffet, Sandals Lounge for drinks, and River City Cafe on the ground floor.
- The bar: Ocean Annie’s, open to the public, right there.
- Book it if: you want live music without a designated driver, you’re travelling with a group, or you need a three-bedroom.
One honest caveat: this is the building with the bar on the deck. If you want silence at nine in the evening in high season, this is not the building — and we’re not going to pretend otherwise to win the booking.
Sands Beach Club — the quiet one
Same ocean, same Shore Drive, considerably less volume. It’s the smaller building and it’s set up for people whose idea of a good afternoon is a book and a balcony.
- Suites: one and two bedrooms only — there are no three-bedroom units here. We manage 15 of them.
- Water: its own oceanfront pool, on the quiet side of the deck.
- The bar: a walk up the beach. Close enough to go, far enough not to hear.
- Book it if: you’re a couple, you nap in the afternoon, you’re bringing older parents, or you’ve stayed at the other building and know which one you are.
What’s the same at both
- Oceanfront on Shore Drive, the end-of-road stretch at the north end — Restaurant Row is minutes away, and the beach here doesn’t get the boardwalk crowds.
- Private balconies with ocean views.
- Free golf at Diamondback for guests, plus the summer perks lineup — current specials are here.
- Atlantis North Spa on site.
- Our front desk, our staff, and the same booking number.
- The same house rules: 21+ to check in, one free parking pass per unit, and no pets at either building per HOA rules. Full policies here.
One more thing about the rooms
Every condo in both buildings is individually owned, so no two are identical. That’s not a dodge — it’s the honest reason our front desk is more useful than a listing photo. Tell us what matters (a high floor, a particular layout, a quiet side) and we’ll tell you straight what we have for your dates.
Planning around a band night? Live music at Ocean Annie’s tells you where it happens and what the season looks like.
